Curator Eloise Avery has carefully chosen the work for the gallery’s fall show, Three Painters and a Potter. The art works stretch our imagination from representational and delve into the abstract. At once bold and beautiful, the approximately 60 paintings, by artists; Brook McVeigh, Liam Corcoran and Greg St. John, display the range of aesthetic possibilities these artists explore on canvas.
The exhibition, on the two floors of the gallery, includes colorful pallets and a range of sizes to suit your aesthetic needs. The pottery by Regina Mason, is functional yet sculptural, elevating the work to new interpretations. A sampling of her functional cups, plates and bowls are also on display.
Avery Arts has expanded the fine woodworking tables and benches by local craftsmen, Toby Stanton and Patrick Doyle. We have now included smaller items such as bowls, candle holders, and small boxes.
Please stop by during gallery hours; Thursday & Friday 4-7pm Saturday & Sunday 2-5pm or by appointment, call: 212-941-6484.
